Part seventeen in the A-Z series. Q is for Quotes.
There are many times in life that require advice. There are times in life when a person wakes up in the morning feeling a bit weak and uncertain about how they will make it through the day. There are times in life when things are going well and a person wants a positive thought like a bite of breakfast for which to nourish their soul for the day. For all these reasons and more a fabulous resource of humanity come in the form of quotes.
Like Tweets from the past quotes, little gems of wisdom and knowledge from those who have been there before are treasures. They also speak to the Universal nature of living. Many who have come before us throughout the ages have loved and lost, faced and overcame great adversity and struggle, contemplated life and its many stages, lead and followed and left us little breadcrumbs of wisdom along the way to help us through.
Every morning as part of my morning ritual I grab my coffee and come to the computer to surf the web for quotes. Sometimes I am very specific in my search because I am looking for wisdom on a particular topic of interest. Sometimes I search for a person wondering what their take on a situation was. Sometimes it’s a type of person philosophers, artists, statesmen, businessmen, spiritual leaders, poets, mothers, military leaders and the list goes on. I find that reading these quotes are like a morning workout, exercising my mind and spirit. Offering me different perspectives.
Like trying different kinds of foods some are easily palatable, some more of a challenge. Others are more difficult to digest and I may need to go back to them at a different time. As I complete more of my life journey I come to understand the information given in different ways. This can be true as well with songs and lyrics as they too can be seen in the same way.
It is always good to be a constant student of life and with quotes used as quick lessons to inspire, instruct and expand awareness and perspective.
